OK. so I am starting this new-ish project and I am not sure where it is going yet. and I like that. I made these geometric hollow objects out of clay and fired them. I found the figures intriguing because when I look at them I see a contradiction. They are both very apparently calculated, man made and precise while at the same time are almost crystalline and referent of rocks. I thought it would be interesting to explore these two sides by attempting to grow crystals out of borax on the ceramic. it worked! I have since dissolved the crystals off (after taking many photos) and am going to try again to try to get some varying results. I will post more soon!
